Conservation of Water in West Vancouver

From June 21 to Sep 21 West Vancouver receives the least amount of rainfall which means there is less water in the Eagle Lake and Capilano reservoirs. West Van residents are required to conserve water by keeping outdoor sprinkling to a defined schedule.

The District has lawn sprinkling regulations that are in effect from June 1 to September 30.

Sprinkling is permitted between:
4 am – 9 am & 7 pm – 10 pm

Even-numbered addresses: Wednesday & Saturday
Odd-numbered addresses: Thursday & Sunday

Remember to update the timer on your sprinkler system to keep your lawn green but remain within the mandatory sprinkling hours.

WEST VAN CITY HALL'S HYPOCRISY RE CONSERVATION OF WATER

I was driving by the West Vancouver Recreation Centre a few nights ago, around 10 pm.

To my shock and horror, the lawn sprinklers were on full-tilt dousing the lawn in front of the recreation centre which seemed strange to me as it had been raining steadily for several days and nights previous to that night.

That is just more evidence of the hypocrisy that abounds at West Vancouver City Hall.

I could tell you more stories that would make you cringe with, "Here in West Vancouver?"
