The Holy Grail of Hockey starts a tour today of GVRD with a Saturday side trip to Pentiction. The giant silver mug freshly inscribed with the names of the 2009-10 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks is in BC from 14-Jul to 18-Jul. Each ‘Hawk gets to spend a day with the trophy in his hometown.

The Stanley Cup will make the first of five BC appearances with a stop in Surrey, along with former Blackhawk Colin Fraser. Today's festivities include a community event at Central City Plaza from 12:00 to 15:00.

The tour continues Thursday, with Troy Brouwer riding a zamboni in a North Delta parade, taking Lord Stanley's mug to Sun God Arena.

It's Brent Seabrook's turn on Friday, taking the Cup to Delta Secondary School and to the Delta Hospital starting at noon.

On Saturday, Norris trophy winner Duncan Keith will bring the hardware to his hometown of Penticton, showing it off between 12:00 and 13:00 at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

And finally, on Sunday it's Maple Ridge's turn with Andrew Ladd holding a community event, starting at noon, at Cam Neely Arena.

If you are in any of these areas get your camera and get out to snap some pixels of Lord Stanley’s mug.
